What is a Moon sign?
Your Moon sign is the sign the Moon was in when you were born. It speaks to your feelings, your moods and what you need to feel at home.
The Moon changes sign every two to three days. On most birth days it stays in one sign, so the time hardly matters. When it changed sign that day, we show both and say which part of the day each one covers.
How we calculate it
The planets come from Astronomy Engine, an open-source library we checked against NASA’s JPL Horizons: within 11 arcseconds for our four test births. The Ascendant, MC and houses use our own code and match the leading chart sites to the minute.
Your local birth time is turned into world time with the time-zone rules of your birth place on that date, summer time included. The place card shows the offset used, and you can change it. Houses are Placidus unless you pick Whole Sign. The North Node is the mean node.
